Injured pitcher sues Chicken for $2 million
Quad City Cubs pitcher Don Schulze files a $2 million damage suit in U S District Court against The Chicken Co owner of Ted Giannoulis who wears the chicken costume. The injury occurred June 21 1981 when Schulze was tackled during an exhibition game between the Cubs and old-timers. Schulze says the tackle separated his shoulder and curtailed his earnings potential.
