Luke Finley, 13, of route 3 Cedar Rapids and Mt. Vernon Junior High student, was treated at St Luke’s hospital for a head injury after being knocked unconscious playing football at West Liberty about 5 p.m. He was released Monday evening.
In the Northern Territory a 36-year-old Roman Catholic priest, Father Gregory Hannan of Temora, was killed when his hang glider crashed while being towed by a truck. He had been suspended from the ground for more than two hours Saturday.

Camizzi 18 of 2525 Indiana St SW was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance after police found a neighbor s license plate in his car at Fifth Ave and Tenth St SE. Police recovered prescription drug like substances during the search. He is held in county jail on bonds of 500 and 2500 respectively.
State health officials in Jackson Mississippi reported seven additional encephalitis cases over the weekend, bringing the total number of cases of the so called sleeping sickness to 260.
