Trial Opens Over Will Changes For Ly man Estate
Lucille Carpenter and her daughter Irene Lochner challenge the July 1 1965 will of David B Lyman in Linn district court claiming the 1965 document altered bequests from the 1963 will. The 1963 plan split cash and stock among the two women while the 1965 left them 2500 each. The estate’s cash and stock were about 60000. Cooks receive farm under 1963 will but the 1965 will gives them the farm and half the cash and stock. Carpenter previously claimed 8000 for room and board from 1963 plus 80 monthly. Lyman died September 14 1965 after hospitalization. Jurors listed.
