Iowa AG to prosecute Marshalltown voter fraud case
Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird will lead the prosecution of Jorge Oscar Sanchez Vasquez, 42, of Marshalltown, charged with registering to vote and voting in a July 16 Marshalltown City Council special election despite lacking U.S. citizenship. He allegedly registered without a party and voted while ineligible. A Oct. 2 district court date is set in Marshall County.
