Iowa Offensive Line Struggles with Two Sacks by Troy
Iowa faced two quarterback sacks as Troy’s defense pressured Hawkeyes QB McNamara. Julian Peterson and Jordan Stinger penetrated the A-gap leading to drive-killers, with one sack preceding a 77 yard punt return and another setting up a punt. Kaleb Johnson stood out blocking on Johnson run plays and gained 39 yards on a key first-drive sequence. Johnson leads the nation with 479 rushing yards this season. The piece notes no season-long conclusions from the 17-point win and mentions Iowa’s nine-game Big Ten schedule since 2016 plus a newsletter signup prompt.
