Golden wedding anniversary for ME and Mrs Fagle celebrated
To Note Their Golden Wedding ME. AND MRS. W. P. Fagle of 846 Second street NW plan an open house next Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the farm home of their son in law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nielson northeast of Marion. They married in Whittier on Sept. 24, 1901. They farmed near Whittier and Rowley before moving to Cedar Rapids in 1949. They have 10 children 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also a recipe note adds curry powder to baked beans served over hamburgers on toasted buns.

Y.W.C.A. Fall Programs Open Sept 24 at New Season
Registration for Y.W.C.A. fall activities begins Monday September 24. Opening day features a membership event September 26 from 3 to 5 PM. The lineup includes Young Couples group beginners and advanced bridge badminton health recreation schedules on Mondays Wednesdays Thursdays and Fridays with Keep Fit, social dances, and bridge instruction. A new speech club for young adult women will form later this month. The fall open house is October 24. The 1926 Grant high school class reunion is planned for next Sunday at Bever Park with a potluck lunch. For info call local numbers.
