Linn County select committee favors Draft Plan No 2 dividing Cedar Rapids into two districts with the south in one and north with Hiawatha and Robins. Marion stays in a third district with rural areas. Public hearing set for Oct 3 at Oxley Center Cedar Rapids.

Plan No 2 proposed for Linn County three district map
The Linn County temporary redistricting committee backs Plan No 2 for a three district map taking effect for the 2018 election. If adopted and incumbents run, several current supervisors would share districts with Linn County Auditor Joel Miller, creating potential matchups in 2018.
