Household incomes rebound surpass 1999 peak in inflation adjusted terms
The Census Bureau reports the median US household income rose to 59039 dollars last year, up 3.2 percent after inflation. Poverty dropped to 12.7 percent, down from 13.5 in 2015 and 14.8 in 2014, marking a two year decline of about 6 million people in poverty.
