The couple recently moved from Uba Wisconsin and leave a daughter Mrs Robert Moulton of Spearfish South Dakota and a son Harley of Hudson Iowa among others. Services are pending at Muehlethaler Wrights funeral home.
Worst rainfall in Kansas City history flooded underground garages at the Country Club Plaza area. Eighteen people died as Brush Creek surged five feet or more, with hundreds stranded or homeless and power and phone outages reported citywide. Local officials faced search and pumping efforts through Tuesday.
Bert Lance said he has no plans to resign after defending himself before a Senate committee. He insisted he will keep the job at the Office of Management and Budget as he prepares for the session with President Carter.
