Mrs L Sellman of 1924 First Avenue East fined 10 dollars and costs for speeding 40 with license suspension for 10 days. H L Haase of 515 Thirty Fourth Street NE fined 5 dollars and costs for failing to stop for a school sign. George Wozenilek of 1632 Fifteenth Avenue SE fined 2 dollars and costs for no muffler.
Mercy hospital reports Dr and Mrs Lawrence Halpin welcomed a son and Mr and Mrs Lester Maurer welcomed a second son both on September 11. St Luke’s hospital lists Mr and Mrs John R Watson Jr a daughter and Mr and Mrs Gilbert S Caldwell a daughter, both on September 11.
Edgar S. Coe of Cedar Rapids was fined 50 dollars and costs for reckless driving. James Kitts of Marion paid 5 dollars and costs for driving without a license. R. T. Shanklin of Cedar Rapids was fined 2 dollars and costs for no driver's license. All fines issued in Justice Hh. R. Churchill's court.
