Frantic radio calls from the Flying Family indicate a plane carrying Col. George R. Hutchinson and eight others vanished off Greenland’s east coast. After last contact from the craft the party’s fate remains unknown as rescue vessels comb the icy seas. Hutchinson travelled from New York to Europe with his wife and two young children.
