Regents Seek Special Funds for UI ISU UNI Education Boost
The regents propose general education funds totaling about 12.4 million, short of 14.8 million requested, with UI gaining more than its 4.5 million request, ISU close to its 4.5 million target, and UNI under half of its 5.8 million aim. If UNI’s 2.5 million increase is granted, total higher education funding would rise to about 506.3 million, keeping the state share around 29 percent.
