Iowa GOP to sue over CO2 pipeline ruling in Iowa
Nearly 40 Iowa Republican lawmakers plan to ask federal courts to rule the Iowa Utilities Board approval of Summit Carbon Solutions' 690 mile carbon dioxide pipeline through Iowa unconstitutional and unsafe. The group will hold a news conference in Charles City to announce the suit and push for eminent domain reforms and stronger protections for landowners. Meanwhile Gov. Reynolds leads a trade mission to India to boost Iowa's economic ties, and unemployment aid and crop insurance discount programs assist storm-affected residents and farmers statewide.
