Congress weighs privatizing FAA workforce and 2018 defense budget
The House plans to vote on privatizing much of FAA staff while the Senate debates the 2018 military budget. A disaster aid bill worth 15.3 billion dollars to recover from Harvey and Irma passes the House, raising the debt limit through December 8 and funding government on a stopgap. The measure includes FEMA assistance, SBA loans, and community development funds. The Senate later approves the same 15.3 billion disaster package and a pay as you go debate.
