Cedar Rapids embraces voluntary desegregation plan progress
Cedar Rapids Community School District reports progress on its three year desegregation integration plan. The DPI approved the second year efforts emphasizing voluntary participation and opt in opt out options across Tyler Elementary and other district schools. The plan includes full time facilitators and district wide staff involvement to balance minority and nonminority enrollment while maintaining local community partnerships.
