Railroad unions vow to fight 20 percent wage cut
Labor leaders from two major unions oppose a proposed 20 per cent wage reduction for about 1.9 million railroad workers. The plan would convert last winter's 10 per cent temporary cut into a permanent reduction and add another 10 per cent. Julius Luhrsen of the Railway Labor Executives Association condemns the move as unjust amid hints of improving business.
