Police investigated a Wednesday robbery at US Bank, 1117 William St, Iowa City. A white male, about 40, wore a gray NASCAR hoodie and blue cap, fled north with an undisclosed sum and a red shoulder bag. Call tips to Detective Gonzalez or Crime Stoppers for rewards.

Man accused of removing pacemaker to be re evaluated
The trial of Jesse Fierstine 33 of rural Manchester will be delayed due to conflicting competency reports. Judge Monica Ackley ordered a psychiatric evaluation at Oakdale and the case will reset after the evaluation. Prosecutors say he attacked his father Charles Fierstine 63 in April 2009, hit him with a flashlight and firewood, then cut the pacemaker from his chest. Charles died in July after hospital treatment.
