Army officer testifies mercy killing claim in Iraq slaying
1st Lt. Colin Cremin testified that Capt. Rogelio Maynulet told him a driver had been wounded badly in a chase near Kufa and that Maynulet shot him in the base of the neck or back of the head to end his suffering. The statement was part of testimony at a hearing on Maynulet’s court martial.
