Rural Tipton man shot after standoff with deputies

Ricky Bartell 42 was critically injured at University Hospitals in Iowa City after a standoff with Cedar County deputies. Investigators say Bartell, armed with multiple guns, refused to surrender during a domestic call three miles northeast of Tipton, firing at officers before being wounded in a return volley.
