Three teenage girls stole the afternoon proceeds from a Kool-Aid and snacks stand run by Chelsea 11 Tori 10 and Amanda 10 at N Avenue and 11th Street NW. The girls lost about 6 to 7 dollars and the Pringles cash can register. Detective Capt. Terry Moyle said the act is troubling as the thieves are in their teens and hurt the young sellers. Two white men convicted in Florida burning of black tourist
In West Palm Beach a jury found Mark Kohut and Charles Rourk guilty of attempted murder kidnapping and robbery in the New Year’s Day attack on Christopher Wilson a 32 year old stockbroker from New York City. Wilson was burned over about 40 percent of his body after being abducted outside a Tampa area plaza.
