Home Loan Board Sees Deluge of Local Mortgage Apps

Washington AP Franklin W. Fort says the Home Loan Bank system will open October 15 but already faces a deluge of direct loan applications. The board screens requests and, when mortgage collateral is sound, forwards them to state lending bodies and building and loan associations for refinancing.
