McLeodUSA Brings Four Communication Centers to Kinnick Stadium

McLeodUSA will install four interactive communication centers inside Kinnick Stadium to let Hawkeye fans place local calls connect to the Internet and check email during games. Each station uses four tele mode devices and a rechargeable card. The initiative aims to add fun and value to the game experience and follows earlier pilot placements at UNI Cedar Falls. Regents propose 9.3 percent tuition rise for Iowa universities

The state Board of Regents plans a 7.2 percent base tuition hike at the University of Iowa Iowa State University and the University of Northern Iowa with 5.2 percent for inflation and 2 percent for quality improvement. Including new and increased fees, resident undergraduates face about 9.3 9.8 and 9.9 percent rises. Non residents would pay a 1 percent surcharge to fund scholarships. Regents discuss the plan in October following earlier 10 percent projections.
