Morise Farmer 65, a trainer and driver for Roy Good at Marshalltown, died of a heart attack during the final heat of the 2:13 trot at Hawk Eye Downs. Elias Escobar was convicted of first degree murder for the July 25 shooting that aimed at Governor General Blanton Winship and Col Luis A. Irizarry. He received a life sentence, the first of nine defendants to face trial.
