Kyle Purdy of Milwaukee and Albert Kennedy of Chicago were jailed after agents found a parked car with whisky gin and alcohol between Ninth and Tenth Streets NW. Seized were 36 pints whisky a half pint alcohol and four pints gin. The bottles bore counterfeited U S revenue stamps and authorities planned arraignment Friday.
Secretary of Agriculture Ray Murray announced Washington has definite extension of government corn loans from September 1 to January 1, 1935. Terms require extension forms by October 1 and storage at no government cost until March 1 1935. If borrowers sell after September 15 they must offer first at local elevator price to CCC designated agency.
