Lineup fair, witness testifies in Dodd murder case
Laurie Herring testified that the February photo lineup did not involve coaching by Coralville Police Chief Barry Bedford or detective to hint at the suspect. Bedford said the lineup, prepared with ISU expert Gary Wells, prompted Herring to recall 1981 events and identify Richard Dodd in the killing of 22-year-old Vicki Klotzbach. Jury selection for the murder trial begins Monday.
