Coe previews new era under coach Thurness
Former Marion coach Bob Thurness leads Coe College in a system overhaul for 1982. The Kohawks rebuild offense and secondary after key departures, rely on a deep backfield and strong defensive line, and schedule home games at Marion High School turf. The team aims for a balanced attack with power-I and slot-I formations, facing Simpson, Loras, Ripon, and others in a tougher Midwest Conference schedule.
