Naughton Finds Clarity On The Green After Sobriety
Dan Naughton, Cedar Rapids champion, credits sobriety since age 49 with a sharper golf focus. He won the 1980 Cedar Rapids Senior City Amateur, claimed the Iowa Golf Association State Senior Championship in Mason City, and notes a recent 5 under par 67 despite windy rounds. He dedicates the season to friends Jim Brown and Nancy, with admiration for Iowa golf legend John Jacobs.
