Collision at Intersection Ends First Local Traffic Fatality Since 1953
A boy riding on the rear of a truck collided at an intersection. He did not survive. Services set for 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's church with a rosary at 8 15 p.m. Wednesday in Murdoch chapel. Burial is Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's cemetery in Lycurgus near Waukon. Surviving are his parents two brothers and two sisters and his grandparents Mr and Mrs Michael Sweeney of Waukon.
