Demonstrators protest Bakken pipeline staging area in Iowa
About 100 people gathered near the Central Iowa Expo Center in Boone County to protest the Bakken pipeline. Roughly four entrances to the private staging site were blocked. 30 protesters were arrested for trespassing and taken to Boone County Jail after police and state patrol moved in.
