Science Station exits downtown in Cedar Rapids
The Cedar Rapids Science Station at Lindale Mall will not return to its pre flood First Street SE site near the Cedar River. The Science Center asks City Hall to end the lease on the two-building complex and plans to sell adjacent properties including the former IMAX Dome Theatre. The board, led by Dan Thies, discussed ambitious plans funded by I-JOBS, but state funding restrictions halted the second round.
