Teasing linked to body issues in Minnesota youths study
University of Minnesota researchers surveyed nearly 5 000 urban middle and high school students finding those teased by peers and family report body dissatisfaction low self esteem and low mood. Over half of teenage girls mocked for weight contemplated death and about a quarter attempted suicide. The study appears in Archives of Pediatrics Adolescent Medicine.
