Air Pollution Tied to Child Asthma and Eczema

A Erie county study of 1946 to 1961 hospital records by SUNY Buffalo researchers links high air pollution to higher childhood asthma and eczema rates. Under fives show more than triple asthma risk than ages 5 to 16. 617 asthma and 165 eczema cases were recorded.

Henderson Horak Exchange Nuptials at Zion Presbyterian

Miss Beth Anne Henderson and Kenneth Lee Horak exchanged vows at Zion Presbyterian Church in a 7:30 p.m. ceremony officiated by Rev. Aaron Koskamp. A 250 guest reception followed at the Legion hall. The bride wore silk organza with Chantilly lace and a chapel train, accompanied by stephanotis, while her sister Mare Newland served as matron of honor. The groom’s party included best man Bruce Hinton and groomsman Larry Horak, with ushers and flower girl and ringbearers listed. The couple, residents of Cedar Rapids area, are employed by General Mills and Executive Management Software & Services respectively.
