Pedestrian Injured in Dual City Traffic Incident
Ray Woodruff suffered cuts and bruises at 8 p.m. Monday after being knocked down by a car driven by Frank Burlingame at the A avenue NE and Third street NE intersection. Burlingame said Woodruff stepped into his vehicle while avoiding another car. Gladys Linkenback sustained minor injuries at 6:30 p.m. when her bicycle collided with Carl Janecek’s car on Second street SW near the alley between Third and Fourth avenues as Janecek began a left turn.

Grace and Parks Rittenhouse of Monona and their sister Mrs. Ray Hildebrand of Waukon are hospitalized at Prairie du Chien after a Sunday night auto crash near Patch Grove Wisconsin. Fred Everett of Prairie du Chien died Monday morning. E Plumer of near Bloomington sustained serious injuries.

Louis Roddewig a Democrat from Davenport was elected chairman of the Iowa state tax board to replace John K. Valentine who resigned to run for lieutenant governor. Governor Clyde L.
