Judy and Nick crash land in a mountain meadow and, facing a failing engine, seek shelter in a hunter’s cabin. As night falls they bond over improvised provisions and shared danger, the isolation turning their voyage into a primitive test of trust and attraction.
Judy Dennis marries Stan Carter and returns to the ikwood home with his mother and sisters Vera and Amy. Stan still pursues Eunice Wilson, prompting Judy to seek happiness with Nick, Stan’s disapproved brother. Their bond grows as Nick, an airplane salesman, and Judy plan a hay ride to the mountains while a plane engine fails on the return.
