Prairie Hill Cohousing Aims to Build Iowa Community
Prairie Hill in Iowa City moves toward the state’s first cohousing project with 36 owner-occupied units on nearly 8 acres. Residents plan shared spaces including a large common house, gardens, and green space while pursuing environmental friendliness and car sharing. Prices range from 163,500 to 350,000 with condo fees for maintenance. Community meetings continue as recruitment proceeds.
