Cedar Rapids mayoral hopefuls Brian Fagan Ron Corbett and P T Larson all starred in football. Fagan earned first team all conference and all metro honors as a Regis senior in 1989 and helped his undefeated team to the state semifinals. Corbett was Newton High School fullback in 1977 state finals and later became Cornell College 1 000 yard rusher twice and a Division III All American in 1982.
