Mind and Popularity Among Schoolchildren
A study of 418 students in grades 5 through 8 finds popular children tend to be more extroverted in relations with teachers and peers, while introverted children show greater persistence on tasks. Researchers Lyle Cooper and Dan Cooper with Roberts Crutcher note extroverts often finish tasks later than introverts.
