SE MARS (LLP) Griff Igon a 55 year old Kingsley Iowa carpenter was sentenced to life in Fort Madison for the shotgun slaying of his sweetheart Mrs Bessie Stauffer a 50 year old divorcee. Judge W C Garberson imposed the sentence after Igou faced a first degree murder charge that may be changed. Igou said he shot Mrs Stauffer at her Kiev home October 8 because she allowed another man to bring her home from a party. He was arrested soon after in Washta Iowa. Hoorneman and Igon's attorney Henry Wormley mayor of Kingsley were present when the sentence was pronounced.
