Humphreys calls for full time aide in Linn County attorney office
Republican candidate Lloyd E. Humphreys urged a full time assistant be appointed to the Linn County attorney to speed trial of cases. He noted six half day assistants earning 7 000 to 8 500 dollars annually and criticized patronage. He cited low felony trial rates and his overseas trial experience to argue for quicker prosecutions and priority for criminal cases.
