St Luke's opens parking pavilion and Nassif Heart Center
After three years of construction St Luke's Hospital debuts a three level parking pavilion with 223 top floor spaces for visitors and 134 spaces on the lower level for physicians and staff. The Nassif Heart Center plans to add two floors by Nov 4 and house United Heart Associates offices, diagnostic services, and cardiac programs. Total cost for parking and heart center projects is 15.1 million dollars.

Angus Angus: Angus Breed Advocate Retires in Historic Iowa Career
Haring, raised in Clinton County once Beef County, built a lifetime in beef promotion. He joined Iowa Beef Producers in 1950, helped start Iowa Beef Month, and later joined the American Angus Association expanding from Iowa to Minnesota Missouri Arkansas and Illinois. He helped found the Junior Angus Association and the Angus Heritage Foundation and starred at the 1976 Iowa State Fair as Patrick Henry leading the show.
