Gas leak disrupts service to 200 in Cedar Rapids
A ruptured six inch natural gas main at First Avenue and 2nd Street NE cut gas to about 200 residences and businesses in Cedar Rapids. Firefighters evacuated two houses and police diverted traffic as Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric crews shut off the line and began repairs likely lasting into the night.
