Linn County to cut costs with Telepower long distance service
Linn County supervisors approve Telepower service from Tele connect Co to replace four measured WATS lines and one 100 hour line. The plan aims to cut long distance costs by about 8000 to 10000 dollars annually, with a startup fee of 298 dollars and a 43 dollar monthly charge after month one. The arrangement saves time and money by routing calls over Telepower when main WATS lines are busy. The board also tasks a juvenile services study and settles a WMT Muzak contract dispute.
