Iowa DOT expands Mobile ID use for Apple Wallet access
Iowa DOT confirms Iowa Mobile ID, a digital version of the license, now compatible with Apple Wallet for Apple devices, joining existing Samsung Wallet usage. The app, released November 2023, remains a companion tool to the physical license and not valid for voting or as sole identification. Over 38,000 Iowans have used the app, with 38 businesses listed on the DOT site offering Mobile ID acceptance.
