Cargill Ends Health Insurance for Striking Cedar Rapids Workers
Cedar Rapids Cargill will cut off health benefits for striking workers at its nearby corn milling plant after a Thursday cutoff, with COBRA continuation allowed for those remaining on strike. The move drew strong criticism from Teamsters Local 238, which calls the action cruel and a bid to push workers back into dangerous conditions for less pay.

Iowa psychologist cleared to resume practice in part time role
Angela Perkins of College Park Neuropsychology in Cedar Rapids will return to practice part time under supervision as the Iowa Board of Psychology lifts restrictions. If she meets terms of the order and prior probation, she may work full time within four months. The board previously alleged harm to clients from neuropsychological testing and failure to report findings. Perkins faced an emergency ban and three year probation after 2023 procedures spanned across 2021 to 2023.
