Public Safety Update on Wrong-Way I-380 Crash
Iowa State Patrol withholds blood alcohol level of wrong way driver Jordan Dietrich in the July 5 Johnson County crash that killed three. Dietrich, 21, of Victor, reportedly traveled about 101 mph in the northbound lanes, entering I-380 at Cedar Rapids and colliding head-on with a second vehicle. Authorities confirm alcohol was involved but refuse to release BAC details, citing confidentiality and attorney general guidance. The incident follows broader concerns over impaired driving in Iowa and ongoing open investigations.
