The Interna iual Festival Development Committee meets Thursday at 7 30 pm in the United Way Building 2 Third Ave SE for planning. Numerous ads list specials from retailers and venues with dates times and contact numbers for events dining and travel in the area.
The Cedar Rapids Water Department will enclose fliers with water bills to solicit donations for an energy and housing crisis loan fund serving Eastern Iowa. Donations go to HACAP at 105 Eighth Ave SE. funds help those facing income loss pay utilities and housing costs.
All entries must be received at The Gazette by 3 p.m. on the fifth day after publication of each Scramblea.
