The Cedar Rapids Country Club closes reservations at 250 for an informal Saturday party with cocktails 7 to 8 and dinner 8 to 9, Larry Foster and his orchestra 9 to 1. Sunday brunch 11 to 1 and Sunday dinners 12 to 2 and 6 to 7:30. reservations due by Saturday. Elmcrest Golf and Country Club also hosts a first informal football weekend dinner dance at 8 with Variety club dancing 9 to 12:30. regular Sunday dinner 12 to 2:30. In Des Moines on Tuesday about 1500 people crowded the Iowa governor’s mansion to greet Mrs Franklin D Roosevelt. The reception was hosted by the Iowa branch of the American Association for the United Nations during United Nations week.
