Perry Man Killed In One-Car Crash Near Angus
Emery D. Havner, 45, of Perry died at a hospital after a one car crash on highway 144 near Angus in Boone county. Authorities say he lost control as the car neared a curve, the vehicle rolled 300 feet and he was thrown 50 feet from the wreckage. Havner, a Fairfield native, worked at a local foundry. His death raises the 1957 highway toll to 577, three more than last year.
