Chain Used To Strangle FLQ Victim
Montreal coroner reports Pierre Laporte was strangled with a chain by FLQ kidnappers. Death occurred by asphyxiation between noon Saturday and 11 p.m. Saturday. Laporte’s body found in Montreal suburb after kidnapping from his home. Authorities questioned two men in the Cross case and held 245 of 343 arrests in the probe. Laporte buried after service at Notre Dame Church with Prime Minister Trudeau and Premier Bourassa in attendance.
