Fertility Loss Threatens Plants Animals Says Albrecht
Missouri soil scientist Dr William Albrecht told the Eastern Iowa Veterinary Association that soil fertility decline and nutrient poor crops threaten plant animal and human health. He cited protein loss in wheat and corn and the need for nutrient rich forage to improve reproduction growth and disease resistance. The talk formed part of the association's annual meeting in Cedar Rapids with nearly 200 veterinarians in attendance and a broadcast Farm Roundup following.
